Currently working on the physico-chemical properties, value addition, genetic characterization, improvement and shelf life enhancement of underutilized fruits and cucurbits of Northeast hill region. Also currently working on development of DUS (Distinctiveness, uniformity and stability) guidelines for jackfruit from NE region and electric field based novel technologies for pilot scale processing of juice and pulp from potential fruits of NE region. Experience on pre-packaging storage behavior of okra (Abelmoschusesculentus L.) and processing of pineapple (Ananascomosus) for development of beverages and its waste utilization.Creation of awareness in NE region about processing and value addition of horticultural crops through Agri-Businees Incubation (ABI) of the institute.
