Dr. Bandita has over 11 years of experience in various fields of Agro & Food Processing sector. She got awarded PHD from Gauhati University in Food Biotechnology. She had worked as Young Professional in the Division of Livestock Production, ICAR-RC for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya for three years and as a Guest Faculty in the Dept. of Masters in Fashion Management, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India for one year. She was the State Coordinator of Meghalaya of National Mission on Food Processing, Ministry of Food Processing Industries under NERAMAC Ltd., Ministry of DoNER in the year 2015 and worked as a Research Associate in the Project “DBT-ICAR Complex for Post Harvest Management Practices of Horticultural crops”, under Division of Horticulture, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya for two years. She had published her journals on various topics like Potential Agri-Business, Ethnic Food, Traditional meat Products and also participated various National & International Seminars of the relevant Sectors.
